CCUS Western States
Wyoming
The University of Wyoming team is experienced in CO2 capture and uses. In this project, the team focuses its work assessing, verifying and augmenting existing data on CO2 point sources from the perspectives of volumes, source lifespan and capture methods/costs/efficiencies. Also, the team collects the information about potential future CO2 capture sources. The team works closely with other teams to identify data input for SimCCS Gateway software, aiming at providing output data including the forecasted emissions (short-term, medium-term and long-term), expected operation lifespans with and without CO2 capture, anticipated CO2 capture volumes and estimated capture costs for candidate sites in CUSP region.
