- This position will be in the Reservoir Evaluation and Advanced Computational Technologies (REACT) section of the PRRC. As a member of this section, the candidate will be part of a an integrated team of geoscientists and engineers working on applied research projects in hydrocarbon resources development, geologic carbon sequestration, and water resources management. This will be multiple positions with expertise in machine learning based numerical simulation and optimization; life cycle assessment; laboratory experiments for hydrogen storage and basalt storage; computational geoscience, structural geologist, Petrophysics and wellbore geomechanics in support of our various carbon storage projects.
Job Functions
- Machine learning based numerical simulation and optimization; Computational geoscience, structural geologist, petrophysics and wellbore geomechanics. Laboratory experiments for hydrogen storage and/or basalt storage; Life cycle assessment and modeling
Required Qualificationsย
- Ph.D. or other doctorate level equivalent, Petroleum Engineering/ Geology/ Geophysics. Knowledge in Machine learning for modeling related activities/MATLAB/Python/Petrel/CMG. Flow through experiments related to hydrogen and basalt related research. Structural geology with either geomechanics and/or formation evaluation expertise/Petrel/Techlog. Knowledge in life cycle assessment.
